Areas of Interest

Michael Vortmann attended UCSF medical school and completed residency at Boston Medical Center in 2009. During medical school he spent 3 months in Durban, South Africa as a research assistant for an epidemiological study on Kaposis sarcoma. He later volunteered for a month as clinical resident at the Motbang Regional Hospital Casualty Ward in Lesotho. As a new attending at Cornell, he has been involved with teaching the trauma conference in Dubai as well as with volunteer service at the Love-a-Child Disaster Relief Center in Haiti. His interests include clinical volunteer work and emergency medicine training.
